We Prepare Young People for Real Life

Young Survivalists helps young people build confidence, resilience, communication skills and leadership abilities through structured coaching, practical challenges and progressive skill development.

Most Programs Teach an Activity.
We Develop the Person.

A workshop can teach a skill for a day. Young Survivalists is designed to help that skill become part of how a young person thinks, communicates, responds and leads.

01

LEARN

Students understand the skill or concept.

02

Practice

They use it in a safe challenge, activity or role-play.

03

Feedback

Students recognize what worked and what can improve.

04

Repeat

They apply the skill again with greater confidence and independence.

Four Skills. One Stronger Young Person.

Real life does not separate pressure, communication, decisions and relationships. The program develops connected capabilities that help young people think, speak, act and recover with confidence.

01

RESILIENCE

RECOVER. ADAPT. KEEP GOING.

Students learn how to recognize pressure, manage their response, recover from setbacks and try again. Through challenges, reflection and second attempts, resilience becomes something they practice.

MANAGE FRUSTRATION

RECOVER FROM MISTAKES

ADAPT TO CHALLENGES

STAY COMPOSED

02

LEADERSHIP

MAKE DECISIONS. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. HELP OTHERS SUCCEED.

Students are given opportunities to make decisions, organize roles, solve problems and help their team move forward. They also examine what worked, what did not and what they would change next time.

TAKE INITIATIVE

MAKE DECISIONS

LEAD TEAMS

SUPPORT OTHERS

03

PUBLIC SPEAKING

FIND YOUR VOICE.

Confidence grows through preparation, repetition and useful feedback. Students begin with short, achievable speaking opportunities and build toward stronger communication and presentation skills.

EXPRESS IDEAS

SPEAK CONFIDENTLY

LISTEN ACTIVELY

PRESENT CLEARLY

04

ANTI-BULLYING

RESPOND WITH CONFIDENCE, NOT AGGRESSION.

Students practise setting boundaries, using confident communication, making safe decisions and responding responsibly in difficult situations. They also learn what to do when they see someone else being targeted.

SET BOUNDARIES

COMMUNICATE CALMLY

SUPPORT OTHERS

SEEK HELP APPROPRIATELY

Skills Become Stronger Through Practice.

Students do not spend the program sitting and listening. They participate through activities, role-play, teamwork, reflection and real-world challenges.

01

COACH & LEARN

A coach introduces a practical skill or concept.

02

TRY IT

Students use the skill through activities, role-play, teamwork or challenges.

03

REFLECT

Students discuss what happened, what worked and what they would change.

04

TRY AGAIN

They repeat the challenge with greater independence.
